On 17 July 2024, an official meeting was held between Alexey Borodin, Director General of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, and Orkhan Hajiyev, Economic Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation.

The parties discussed the issues of coordination of efforts of the RCC Communications Administrations on the fields of the International Telecommunication Union, in particular, topical issues of preparation of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the next World Telecommunication Development Conference, which is to be held in Baku in November 2025.
