On March 26, 2024, during the first day of the ITU Regional Development Forum for the CIS region (Astana, Kazakhstan), the signing ceremony of the Framework Cooperation Agreement between the International Telecommunication Union and the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications was held.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the International Telecommunication Union by Mr. Kosmas Lakison Zavazava, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau, and on behalf of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications by Mr. Alexey Borodin, Director General of the RCC.
