On 8 December 2023, an information session "Accelerating Digital Transformation of Government through the GovStack Approach" was held in an online format.

Natalia Mochu, Director of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS region, opened the session and welcomed the participants.

An international GovStack initiative created to provide governments and public institutions with resources, technical expertise and guidance for the successful and widespread digitalization of public services, using evidence-based features and international best practices.

The GovStack approach promotes the use of interoperable, secure by design, versatile and multi-purpose 'building blocks' to facilitate the digitalization of public services across different sectors of government.

The GovStack introductory information session will serve as a first step, which may be followed by thematic webinars, technical workshops and other regional events.

During the GovStack Introductory Information Session, participants were introduced to the proposed opportunities to participate in the initiative, shared country experiences and asked for suggestions for future activities.
