On August 30, 2023, the joint 45/44th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on the Work with the International Telecommunication Union at the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation was held in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan.

The joint 45/44th meeting of the CIC and the Working Group on the work with ITU was officially opened by Bella Cherkesova, Chairperson of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation.

Also with welcoming opening remarks the participants were addressed by:

- Nurudin Mukhitdinov, General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee.

- Tilek Taalaibekov, Head of the Radio Monitoring Department of the Communications Regulatory and Supervision Service of the Kyrgyz Republic,

- Natalia Mochu, Director of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS region

Continuation of the joint-meeting of the CIC and ITU WG was held under the chairmanship of Alexey Borodin.

The event was attended by representatives of the Communications Administrations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, participant-observer IOSC "Intersputnik", as well as specialists and staff of the RCC Executive Committee. 

The following issues were considered during the meeting:

- Outcomes of the 2023 session of the International Telecommunication Union Council (July 11-21, 2023, Geneva, Switzerland);

- Preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2024 (WTSA-24);

- ITU Secretariat presentation on preparations for WTSA-24;

- Presentation "On current data on the state of digital development in the CIS Member-States".

A presentation on the preparation of the WTSA-24 Presentation was made by Bilel Jamoussi of the ITU Standartization Bureau.

The following issues were also considered at the joint meeting:

- Preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU Radiocommunication Assembly and the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (November 13-17, November 20-December 15, 2023, Dubai, UAE);

- Preparation of the RCC CAs for the Extraordinary Congress of the Universal Postal Union (October 2-6, 2023, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia);

- Preparation of the RCC CAs for the World Telecommunication Policy Forum/ICT 2026 (WTPF-26);

- Preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU Council Working Group meetings (October 9-20, 2023) and ITU Council Extraordinary Session (October 19-20, 2023);

- RCC nominations for vice-chairs of the Council Working Groups and Expert Groups for the period of 2023-2026;

- Election of the leadership of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation.

Nurudin Mukhitdinov, General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee, expressed his gratitude to Alexey Borodin, Chairman of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and Chairman of the ITU Working Group at the CIC, for successful and efficient holding of the joint-meeting and adoption of constructive decisions, he also expressed his gratitude to the host party, and wished all participants good health and success in the implementation of all decisions that were made.

Alexey Borodin, chairman of the ITU Working Group at the CIC, thanked Natalia Mochu, Director of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS region, for active participation in the RCC meetings.

Alexey Borodin, chairman of the ITU Working Group at the CIC, expressed his gratitude to the RCC Executive Committee and personally to Nurudin Mukhitdinov, General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee, for high-quality preparation and organization of the RCC events.
