A meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place in the city of Sochi on June 8, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hodzhamyrat Geldimyradov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev.
All issues on the agenda were considered and 17 documents were adopted.
The heads of governments signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of combating fraud on the telecommunications networks.
The document provides for tightening of administrative and criminal responsibility for such crimes, cooperation and exchange of positive experiences on mechanisms used to prevent them, creating conditions for the sustainable functioning and effective development of the international telecommunications market in the interests of end users and protection of economic interests of telecommunication operators, harmonization of national legislation to ensure security on telecommunication networks.
The next meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States is scheduled for October 27, 2023 in Bishkek.
