The 8th Conference of the CEPT Preparatory Group for WRC-23 (CPG23-8) was held from 22-26 May 2023 in Thessaloniki via videoconference.
More than 200 delegates from CERT Member-States and observers attended the event, including representatives of regional and international organisations.
Representatives of the Communications Administrations of: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the staff of the RCC Executive Committee, participated on behalf of the RCC.
The meeting was chaired by Alexander Kholod, Chairman of the CEPT Preparatory Group for WRC-23.
The Director of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau (BR), Mario Manevich, and the Chairman of ECC CERT, Chris Wolford, also gave welcoming remarks.
The main purpose of the meeting was to update CERT preparations for WRC-23 and to formulate Common Proposals and positions of CEPT Member-States.
At the above-mentioned meeting, Philippe Aubineau of ITU gave a presentation on the preparations for WRC-23.
The agenda included the following:
1. Opening of the meeting;
2. Address by the Director of the Radiocommunication Bureau;
3. Adoption of the Agenda;
4. Nomination and appointment of CEPT coordinators;
5. Information from the relevant groups;
6. Consideration of questions from CPG23 project groups;
7. Final approval of the ECPs;
8. Network of women for WRC-23;
9. The outcome of RAG-23;
10. Preparation of RA-23;
11. Schedule of CPG23 meetings;
12. Any other matters;
13. Closing of the meeting.
