The exhibition was opened by Minister of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Guluzade Ramin Namig oglu, Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Zhao Houlin and Regional Director of Caspian Event Organizers Edward Stroon.

Mr. Stroon expressed gratitude for support to the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the International Telecommunication Union, the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of organizations, the Fund for the Promotion of Export and Investments in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium business of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the Caspian Innovation Conference, the Director General of the RCC Executive Committee, Mukhitdinov Nurudin Nasretdinovich, addressed the exhibition with a welcoming speech.

Also at the Bakutel-2019 exhibition, the RCC Executive Committee Management held many important business negotiations and meetings. In particular, the Director General of the RCC Executive Committee, Mukhitdinov Nurudin Nasretdinovich, held talks with the heads of delegations of the AU of the Republic of Turkey and the AU of the Islamic Republic of Iran on issues of joint cooperation in the field of communications and digital development, as well as on the issue of the aforementioned AS being a part of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications.

Special innovative platforms were also organized for visitors to the exhibition, including the Robopark representing the latest robot models, the Telecommunications and Innovation Innovation Zone, and the international discussion platform Bakutel TechTalks.

The exhibition was attended by large world companies, including Ericsson, Elcore, Nokia, CISCO, Huawei, Microsoft, as well as leading Azerbaijani companies Azercell, Bestcomp Group, Idrak Technology Transfer, Smart Systems Technology, etc.

A wide range of high-quality telecommunication services at the exhibition was presented by the leading satellite communications operators Azercosmos and Space Communications, which signed the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Satellite Communications within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Innovations and High Technologies Bakutel-2019 and broadcasting services. In accordance with the agreement, Azercosmos and Space Communications will jointly use the capabilities of Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2 and Express AM communications satellites to provide services in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as in Azerbaijan, Russia and the CIS countries.

At the same time, the exhibition featured numerous business solutions, cyber security technologies, nanotechnologies, data centers, cloud technologies, IoT, satellite technologies, software, mobile and satellite communications, and much more.
