On March 2, 2023 in the Office of the CIS Executive Committee a regular meeting of the Working Group for monitoring the economic situation in the CIS Member-States and preparation of specific proposals on possible measures to respond to emerging problems (via videoconference) was held.

The meeting was devoted to the issues of implementation of the List of joint responses to the arising problems, approved by the Protocol decision of the CIS Economic Council dated June 10, 2022.

Representatives of the state bodies and institutions of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the bodies of the CIS sectoral cooperation, participating in the implementation of the List of Measures, took part in the Meeting.

Natalya Zorya, Deputy General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee, participated in the meeting on behalf of the RCC Executive Committee.

The meeting was chaired by I. Nematov, Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, who in his opening speech noted the importance of the List for the development of economic and trade cooperation of the CIS Member-States, indicating that this issue was given particular attention during the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government on October 28, 2022.

During the meeting it was noted that since the adoption of the document the work on the implementation of all items of the List has begun, for some of them significant results have been achieved, for others plans for their implementation have been developed. Were noted activities that require more active work. The participants of the meeting were asked to consider the expediency of enlarging the List with activities that need to be implemented and to submit proposals to the CIS Executive Committee.

It is planned to present information on the implementation of the List on the meeting of the CIS Economic Council in June 2023.

The next meeting of the Working Group will be held in April 2023.
