From 2 to 3 February 2023, the 5th International Digital Forum "Digital Almaty: Digital Partnership in a New Reality" was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was held at the Atakent Business Cooperation Centre.

Panel sessions and round tables were held in four halls, and innovations in the IT industry were presented. The forum was attended by more than 30,000 participants from over 30 countries.

At the opening of the forum, a pantomime was presented showing the birth of a baby, embodying the birth of a new era of digitalisation and the participation of all mankind in its development.

On 2 February, a round table with the participation of the EEU ICT ministers took place within the framework of the forum. The round table was opened by Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Among the participants of the round table were Pavel Tkach, First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatisation of the Republic of Belarus; Talantbek Imanov, Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic; Uchral Nyam-Osor, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Republic of Mongolia; Maxut Shadaev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation; Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia.

ICT Ministers discussed digital transformation in their countries, shared their experiences in implementing new services, and discussed the progress of e-government implementation.

The forum was attended by Nurudin Mukhitdinov, General-Director of the RCC Executive Committee, and Andrey Saprygin, Acting Deputy General-Director of the RCC EC.

Representatives of the RCC Executive Committee familiarised themselves with promising developments in the IT industry, held informal meetings and negotiations with ministers and the management of the RCC Communications Administrations present at the forum, attended discussions with ICT ministers as well as Prime Ministers of the EAEU countries.

On 3rd of February, a Plenary Session with the Heads of Government of the EAEU countries was held.
The moderator was Andrei Beklemishev, IDC Vice-President for Central Asia. The session was attended by the Prime Ministers of the EAEU countries:

- Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia,

- Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Belarus,

- Alikhan Smailov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan,

- Akylbek Zhaparov, Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic,

- Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,

- Aripov Nigmatovich, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Hwang Jong Sung, President of the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIA) and Timur Turlov, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Holding Corp. also spoke at the forum.

In the plenary session, the speakers made presentations on the development of the ICT industry in their countries, and discussed successes in e-government development, artificial intelligence, and experiences of dealing with pandemics. The participants proposed to intensify the integration of the information systems of the EAEU countries to create a synergy effect of development and expand the consumer market.
