On November 10, 2022, a meeting of the expert group (including via videoconference) was held to consider the draft Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS Member States in the Creation of Compatible National Telemedicine Systems and their Further Development and Use of November 19, 2010.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications, the CIS Executive Committee, the RCC Executive Committee.
The improvement of information systems in the field of health care, providing remote interaction of medical workers in the organization and provision of medical care using telemedicine technologies, required updating the current agreement.
The draft Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement complements the set of measures aimed at the practical implementation of agreed approaches to the regulation of information systems in the field of healthcare, takes into account the existing approaches of the CIS member states, as well as the best practices developed in this area.
The adoption of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement will improve the system basis for the implementation of compatible national telemedicine systems, as well as provide conditions for the development of adequate measures to provide citizens of the States Parties to the Agreement with timely medical care using telemedicine technologies.
The meeting participants agreed on the text of the document, which was sent to the states for consideration and further submission to the highest authorities of the CIS.
