August 12, 2022, in the village Sary-Oi, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyz Republic, the joint 44/39th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group for Work with the International Telecommunication Union under the CIC in a hybrid format was held.

The joint meeting was opened by Nurudin Nasretdinovich Mukhitdinov, General Director of the RCC Executive Committee.

From the host side, the Head of the Radio Monitoring Department of the Service for Regulation and Supervision in the Communications Industry under the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Tokoldoshov Timur Stalbekovich delivered a welcoming speech.

Borodin Aleksey Sergeevich, Chairman of the Working Group on Work with the International Telecommunication Union under the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation, was elected as the Chairman of the joint meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Communications Administrations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the ITU Regional Office for the ITU Region, the International Academy of Communications and the RCC Executive Committee.

The agenda of the above meeting included the following items:

- On the outcome of the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2022 (WTDC-21);

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly in 2024 (WTSA-24);

- On preparations for the final meeting of the ITU Council Session in 2022;

- Presentation of the ITU Regional Office for the CIS "Measuring Digital Development - Facts and Figures for 2021";

- On the preparation and organization of the work of the RCC CAs at the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2022 (PP-22):

1. Information on the progress of preparations for PP-22 and practical information;

2. Approval of candidates for elected positions in the working bodies of the PC-22, the posts of chairmen and deputy. Chairmen of the Working Parties and Expert Groups of the ITU Council beyond PP-22;

3. Approval of the draft General Proposals of the RCC CAs for PP-22 (RCC OP);

4. Issues of participation, coordination and powers of RCC CA delegations at PP-22.

- On preparations for the 3rd Interregional Meeting and the 5th Preparatory Meeting of the Arab States for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2022;

Within the framework of the above meeting, the Interregional session on preparations for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2022 (PP-22) was held.

The Interregional session on preparation for PP-22 was opened and Alexey Sergeevich Borodin, Chairman of the Working Group on Work with ITU under the CIC, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

Welcome speeches were made by ITU Deputy Secretary-General Malcolm Johnson and PP-22 Chairman Designate Sabin Sarmas.

The interregional session was attended by representatives of the International Telecommunication Union, the Asia-Pacific Television Community, the African Telecommunication Union, the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunication Administrations, the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission, the League of Arab States and
14 invited candidates for positions elected to the ITU.

The agenda included the following items:

- On the preparation of the RCC CAs for the Plenipotentiary Conference in 2022;

- On candidates for the positions of elected officials and members of the ITU Radio Regulations Board;

- On the preparation of regional telecommunication organizations for the Plenipotentiary Conference 2022.

Concluding the joint 44/39th meeting of the RCC Commission for the Coordination of International Cooperation and the Working Group on Work with the International Telecommunication Union under the CIC, the General Director of the RCC Executive Committee Nurudin Nasretdinovich Mukhitdinov and the Chairman of the Working Group Aleksey Sergeevich Borodin thanked all the participants for the fruitful work, as well as thanked ITU Regional Organizations and ITU Candidates for their presentations.

The words of gratitude to the RCC Executive Committee were made by the Chairman of the Working Group on Work with ITU under the CIC Borodin Aleksey Sergeevich and on behalf of the host by the Head of the Radio Monitoring Department of the Service for Regulation and Supervision in the Communications Industry under the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Tokoldoshov Timur Stalbekovich for the quality preparation and conduct RCC events.
