In Moscow, at VDNKh (in pavilion 57), within the framework of the Eurasian Congress`21, the last meeting of the CIS Economic Council was held in the outgoing year.

It was attended by the Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrishenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev, Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation Sergiu Goncherenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Davlatshoh Gulmakhmadzoda, Counselor of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, Serdar Destupdyev Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrishenko.

The heads of the delegations exchanged views on topical issues of economic cooperation in the CIS.

Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee Mikhail Myskin informed the audience about the draft Agreement on Free Trade in Services, the establishment, activities and implementation of investments of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Nuridin Mukhitdinov, General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications, spoke on the issue “On the draft Plan of Priority Actions for the Implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring Information Security of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the Period up to 2030”.

A wide range of economic and social issues were presented for signing within the framework of the meeting.

The next meeting of the Economic Council will be held on March 18, 2022 in Moscow at the World Trade Center, on the same day the International Economic Forum will be held.
