Held on September 23 under the auspices of UNESCO, the Forum brought together representatives of government authorities, the academic community, international organizations, and business to discuss responsible AI use:

•  Ethical principles of AI implementation

•  Technology regulation

•  Governance and scaling of national AI programs

•  Building regional partnerships.

Mr. Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, opened the Forum.

The discussion was attended by:

•  Mr. Marco Antonio, University of Montreal (France)

•  Mr. Pablo Fuentes Nettel, Oxford Insights (UK)

•  Ms. Maria Bolshakova, Deputy Director General of the RCC

•  Mr. Huseyin Atakan Varol, Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI), Kazakhstan

•  Ismail Malikov, AI Association Azerbaijan.

•  Mr. Aziz Atabekov, Vice Director of ZTE Uzbekistan and UNESCO National RAM Consultant in Uzbekistan, moderated the Forum.

During the discussion, Ms. Maria Bolshakova spoke about the following:

•  The need to move from general ethical principles to practical regional standards

•  The RCC's role in coordinating policy, ensuring interoperability, and harmonizing AI regulation in Central Eurasia and the CIS.
