Uzbekistan's Information and Communication Technology Week — ICTWeek Uzbekistan — has opened at the CAEx Uzbekistan venue in Tashkent.
ICTWeek events will take place from September 22 to 25, 2026.
The main goal of ICTWeek is to showcase new technologies and innovations, digital transformation trends, promising startups, and scientific developments, while also creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
The start of ICTWeek events was marked by an official opening ceremony, during which:
• Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, gave a presentation on the country's achievements in IT and digital transformation
• Mr. Bakhodir Ayupov, Vice President for Global Business Development at Enterprise Uzbekistan, highlighted the priorities and goals of Enterprise Uzbekistan, an international digital technology center
• Mr. Nikolay Seleznev, Co‑founder and Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Uzum, spoke about the specifics and prospects of Uzum, the leading digital ecosystem of Uzbekistan
• Mr. Wang Guangdong, Director of ZTE, presented the company's priorities in Uzbekistan
• Mr. Wang Qi, Vice President of Huawei Central Asia Multi-Country Region, spoke about the prospects for the company's business development in the country
• Mr. Rajit Nanda, CEO of DataVolt, spoke about the implementation of large‑scale projects in Uzbekistan to build a network of environmentally-friendly, AI‑supported data centers.
ICTWeek will feature forums, summits, panel discussions, press conferences, and other events.
The centerpiece of ICTWeek will be ICT Expo, the largest ICT exhibition in the region.
Delegations from RCC communications administrations and the RCC Executive Committee will take part in ICTWeek events. On the first day of the event, a commemorative ceremony will be held to cancel a postage stamp issued by JSC "Uzbekiston Pochtasi" marking the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth.
