On August 22, 2026, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree awarding civil servants and representatives of the production and socio‑economic sectors on the occasion of Uzbekistan's Independence Day.

The Order "Mehnat Shuhrati" (Labor Glory) was presented personally by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Heads of Communications Administrations — Members of the RCC — and of the Coordination Council of the CIS Member-States on Informatization of the RCC.

"It was a great honour and unforgettable experience to receive a state award from H.E. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev himself on the eve of Uzbekistan's Independence Day! Only thanks to his Visionary Leadership, Political will to make real changes, as well as systemic support, we are moving towards turning Uzbekistan into an IT and AI hub," Minister Shermatov shared after the award ceremony.
