The strategic session "International Cooperation: The RCC in the Global Digital Dialogue" concluded the two‑day RCC Anniversary Forum.
The session was attended by:
· Mr. Mario Gonzalez-Montiel, UPU Programme Manager for Europe and the CIS
· Mr. Konstantin Laykam, Chairman of the CIS Statistical Committee
· Mr. Lenar Yarullin, Head of the Division for Control over Compliance with the Prohibition on Abuse of Dominant Position, Department of Antimonopoly Regulation, Eurasian Economic Commission
· Mr. Dmitry Lutsenko, Third Secretary of the Department of International Information Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation
· Mr. Alexey Borodin, Director General of the RCC.
Session participants discussed how the RCC can strengthen the position of Commonwealth member states and organizations on the international stage and build effective partnerships in the global digital dialogue.
Discussion participants agreed that, in the context of growing regulatory competition and the importance of technological sovereignty, interstate coordination is essential for protecting national interests and ensuring equal opportunities for the countries of the region.
The main conclusion of the discussion was that building partnerships makes it possible to turn cooperation into practical results — from unified approaches to regulating new technologies to promoting regional solutions in international markets. At the same time, the sustainability of partnerships depends on mutual benefit, transparency, and technological compatibility.
Ms. Maria Bolshakova, Deputy Director General of the RCC, moderated the section.
