The AI for Good Global Summit is taking place from July 7 to 10, 2026, alongside the WSIS Forum 2026, and serves as the centerpiece of Geneva Digital Week.
Summit objectives:
• To identify practical AI solutions for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• To develop ethical and safe AI deployment models across different sectors
• To establish partnerships between governments, businesses, academia, and civil society.
Central program elements:
• Thematic tracks on priority areas, from healthcare and education to climate monitoring and the inclusive economy — each demonstrating how AI helps make the world a better place
• Case study demonstrations, ranging from algorithms for early disease detection to disaster forecasting systems
• Dialogue between regulators and developers, focusing on the regulatory framework, safety standards, and control mechanisms
• Partnership sessions and hackathons, where teams from different countries propose ideas and prototypes that could lay the foundation for future projects
• International cooperation, with special attention to capacity building in regions with different levels of digitalization, as well as expertise exchange and competency development.
It is worth noting that in 2026, a significant number of prominent industry representatives from the RCC/CIS region are participating in various formats of the Summit's discussions.
The RCC Executive Committee invites Commonwealth members and participants to share information about the sessions they are organizing — we would be happy to cover them here!
