On June 4, 2026, the RCC Commission on Telecommunications Regulation (RCC Commission on TR) and the RCC Telecommunications and Infocommunication Operators Board (RCC TIOB) held their joint 1st/49th meeting at the Mariinsky Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Participants were welcomed by Mr. Alexander Kenda, Chairman of the RCC TIOB and Director General of RUE "Beltelecom."

The speakers included experts from leading telecommunications companies in the region.

Key agenda topics:

• Combating fraud in the telecommunications sector

• Roaming tariffs for communication services

• Development of Direct‑to‑Device (D2D) technology

• Cross‑border infrastructure projects

• Development of AI and data centers

• Prospects for 5G and 6G deployment in the countries of the region

• Production of telecommunications equipment

• Cybersecurity and threat models.

Particular attention was also given to the development of the domain business, internet traffic analysis, and import substitution of telecommunications equipment.

The meeting traditionally served as a platform for exchanging experiences and developing joint solutions for the telecommunications industry in the region.
