EEF 2026 Plenary: Heads of EAEU Member States Meet in Astana

The central theme of the plenary session was artificial intelligence and digital transformation — and it remains the theme of the Forum itself, which is still underway.

The Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF) is the key business event of the year for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

During the plenary session, addresses were delivered by:

•  Mr. KassymJomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council

•  Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus

•  Mr. Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic

•  Mr. Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Republic of Cuba

•  Mr. Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia

•  Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

•  Mr. Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran

•  Mr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates

•  Mr. Nyamtaishiryn Nomtoibayar, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia

•  Mr. Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The plenary discussion was moderated by Mr. Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) was represented at the plenary session by the heads of communications administrations of its member states that are part of the EAEU, as well as by the RCC Director General.
