EEF 2026: Principles for Responsible Use of AI in Eurasian Economic Integration

The Fifth Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF) will take place on May 28–29, 2026, in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The Forum is timed to coincide with the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which will be attended by the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The event will take place as part of Kazakhstan's 2026 chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union bodies.

On May 28, as part of the Forum's program, a panel session titled “Principles for the Responsible Use of AI in Eurasian Economic Integration” was held. It was attended by:

•  Mr. Kirill Zalessky, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus

•  Mr. Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia

•  Mr. Dmitriy Mun, Vice-Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

•  Mr. Alexey Borodin, Director General of the RCC

•  Mr. Azamat Dzhaparov, Director of the State Institution "Kyzmat" under the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic

•  Mr. Tigran Sargsyan, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank.

The session was moderated by Mr. Varos Simonyan, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information&Communication Technologies.

The session focused on the strategic role of AI — from a single digital data space and "smart" logistics to coordinated regulatory policy and technology ethics.

Participants discussed practical steps for implementing joint AI projects, focusing on concrete benefits for businesses and citizens, as well as on identifying priority areas for pilot initiatives.
