On May 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the ITU Council session, RCC Director General Mr. Alexey Borodin met with Mr. Hussain Salatt, a representative of Qatar's Communications Regulatory Authority who is responsible for organizing the 2026 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP‑26).

The parties discussed the progress of preparations for the Conference in both the RCC/CIS region and the host country, and also shared their expectations for the upcoming event.
