MGIMO–RCC–ITU Professional Development Program Kicks Off

On April 13, the professional development program opened at the MGIMO campus in Moscow. The program is the result of collaboration between:

• The Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO)

• The Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC)

• The International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Course title: "Artificial Intelligence for Diplomats in Central Eurasia"

The program includes:

• The study of the fundamental principles of AI

• The specifics of interaction with international organizations

• The analysis of regional AI technology development

• The investigation of standardization and security issues

• The practical application of acquired knowledge.

During the course opening, Ms. Maria Bolshakova, Deputy Director General of the RCC, welcomed the participants, noting that:

"In the era of global digitalization, issues related to the effective use of artificial intelligence are becoming critically important for the development of international cooperation and are naturally taking center stage in discussions on the global digital agenda. That is precisely why our professional education program holds special significance for the diplomatic service of Central Eurasian countries."

On April 14, as part of the course program, RCC Director General Mr. Alexey Borodin will deliver two lectures.
