On April 8, 2026, a gala meeting marking the 30th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Academy (ITA) was held at the Trade Unions Palace of Labor in Moscow.
The ITA is an international public organization that unites leading scientists, outstanding managers, and highly qualified specialists in the field of communications. Its members share professional interests and work together on theoretical and practical tasks in the development of infocommunications.
The meeting also honored the memory of Ms. Anastasia Petrovna Ositis, President of the ITA, who passed away unexpectedly in November 2025.
On the presidium of the meeting were:
• Chief Scientific Secretary of the ITA, Mr. Vladimir Efimushkin
• Vice‑President of the ITA, Mr. Anatoly Nazeykin
• President of the Moscow Branch of the ITA, Ms. Irina Fedulova.
During the gala meeting, the Academy's priorities and development directions were presented, and several reports on current industry development issues were delivered, including:
• The state and prospects of satellite communications development in Russia
• The development of qualifications for specialists in telecommunications, postal communications, and radio engineering
• International standardization of telecommunications
• Foreign policy priorities in the field of infocommunications.
During a report on international policy delivered by Mr. Artur Lyukmanov — Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in the Field of Information Security and Director of the Department of International Information Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia — the role of the RCC and its Director General, Mr. Alexey Borodin, in strengthening the region's position within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) was specifically highlighted.
At the conclusion of the gala meeting, the A.P. Ositis commemorative medals were presented. The medals were awarded to:
• Mr. Alexey Borodin, Director General of the RCC
• Mr. Nurudin Mukhitdinov, Director General of the RCC from 2003 to 2023.
The RCC was represented at the meeting by Ms. Maria Bolshakova, Deputy Director General of the RCC.
