Joint 29th/50th Meeting of RCC Commission for Regulation of Usage of Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits and Commission on Coordination of International Communication Concludes

The agenda items of the RCC Commission on the Coordination of the International Cooperation (CIC) were reviewed under the chairmanship of Ms. Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

The review of the activities of the RCC Commission for Regulation of Usage of Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits (RFS SO) was conducted under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Valery Butenko, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

The joint meeting of the Commissions reviewed the results of the activities of the working groups operating under them:

•  Working Group for Preparation of Radiocommunication Assembly and World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WG RA/WRC)

•  Working Group on Radio Frequency Spectrum Management (WG RFS)

•  Working Group on Radio Broadcasting (WG RB)

•  Working Group on ITU Relations.

Key results of the Commissions' work include:

•  Approval of candidates from the communications administrations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan for the Radio Regulations Board and the ITU Council

•  Unanimous approval of the reports on the work of the Commissions' working groups

•  Approval of a number of RCC documents on radio frequency spectrum (RFS) management, covering radio monitoring, coordination of assignments, and fees for the allocation and use of RFS

•  Significant progress in the development of common proposals and positions of the RCC for the 2026 Plenipotentiary Conference (PP‑26) and RA/WRC27

•  Initiation of the development of the RCC Declaration on Child Protection in the Digital Environment.

RCC meetings in Shymkent traditionally feature active discussions and conclude with the adoption of balanced decisions.
