The meeting between Mr. Alexey Borodin and Mr. Varos Simonyan took place in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, as part of preparations for the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting, to be held within the framework of the Digital Qazaqstan forum.

The discussion focused on practical steps for implementing the Action Plan on interaction between the organizations for 2024–2027, including:

•  Developing regulation to overcome technical barriers hindering lower prices and free access to communication services in roaming across the region

•  Developing common approaches regarding the admission of extra‑regional NGSO communication system operators

•  Expanding the use of the Integrated Information System of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the RCC/CIS region.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on specific steps to implement the Plan on the issues discussed.
