RCC Director General Discusses 35th Anniversary on Radio Russia

During the interview, broadcast today, March 6, Alexey Borodin discussed the RCC's history, its current status and achievements, and priorities for the coming period.

“In 1991, the communications ministries of the RCC member countries—tasked with maintaining the region's critical communication infrastructure—were among the first to establish a framework for cooperation under new conditions, thereby ensuring the continuity of technological processes across the region.

Throughout its existence, the RCC has also represented the region's interests in global organizations—the International Telecommunication Union and the Universal Postal Union. Cooperation within the Commonwealth helped protect the sovereign interests of countries that, after 1991, did not immediately join the work of these UN specialized agencies in their own right. This was particularly critical in areas such as numbering distribution, frequency spectrum allocation, satellite orbit coordination, and the development of postal logistics structures, among others." — A. Borodin noted.
