The AI for Good Global Summit will be held from July 7 to 11, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Summit serves as the United Nations' leading platform on artificial intelligence (AI). It focuses on finding trustworthy AI applications, building skills and standards, and advancing AI governance for sustainable development. The event is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with 53 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with the Swiss government.
In preparation for the 2026 Summit, the organizers invite all interested parties to participate in the following activities:
• Presenting a robotics startup – Apply by February 8, 2026.
Interested parties are invited to submit their AI startup for a chance to compete in the finals and win a cash prize of USD 20,000, awarded during the Summit.
• Demonstrating space-based AI solutions – Apply by January 30, 2026.
Interested parties are invited to develop and demonstrate AI solutions that perform computations on servers in space. The best solutions will compete for a total prize pool of CHF 39,000, distributed across several tracks. All awards will be presented during the Summit.
• Joining the AI for Good Scholars Program or the Technical Advisory Committee – Apply by February 28, 2026.
AI solution developers are invited to present their solutions by applying for the AI for Good Scholars program, or to join the Technical Advisory Committee to collaborate with global experts and access professional mentorship and resources.
• Conducting a session at the Summit – Apply by March 15, 2026.
If you are implementing innovative AI solutions or leading significant projects in this field, you are invited to submit a session proposal aligned with one of the Summit's 14 thematic tracks.
• Competing in the AI for Good Impact Awards – Apply by March 15, 2026.
Organizations, institutions, and individual contributors are invited to submit their AI projects for the competition. Projects should align with one of the three Summit themes: AI for People, AI for Planet, or AI for Prosperity.
• Submitting to the 2nd AI for Good Film Festival – Apply by March 15, 2026.
Interested parties are invited to submit original short films that have been generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence (AI) tools and that explore questions at the intersection of technology, artistic vision, and social impact.
• Participating in the 3rd ITU Art Competition: The Future of Education and Work in the AI Era (“Canvas of the Future”) – Apply by March 15, 2026.
Interested parties are invited to submit digital images generated or enhanced using AI tools that explore how AI can expand the possibilities of artistic creation. Finalists will be invited to present their works during the Summit.
In preparation for the Summit, young robotics enthusiasts, either individually or in teams, are invited to design, build, and program a robot that addresses issues in the field of food security. The winning teams will compete in the finals during the Summit.
