On November 18, 2025, on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development Conference in Baku, the International Organization of Space Communications "Intersputnik" – an Observer to the RCC – and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement aims to establish a joint platform for the training and professional development of specialists in satellite communications and broadcasting.
The agreement was signed by Intersputnik Director General Ksenia Drozdova and ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) Director Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava.
Intersputnik Director General Ksenia Drozdova noted:
"The shortage of qualified specialists is one of the factors hindering the development of modern satellite communication systems. We are pleased to join efforts, experience, and resources with our colleagues from the ITU. This will allow us to bring the industry's personnel potential to a completely new level."
"Our partnership with Intersputnik will play an important role in promoting the efficient use of satellite communication and broadcasting technologies, as well as in expanding connectivity and digital transformation," noted BDT Director Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava.
