Opening of the IV International IT-Akademgrad Forum "Artificial Intelligence in Belarus"

The two-day Forum opened on Monday, October 13, at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in Minsk.

RCC Director General Alexey Borodin addressed the Forum participants with a welcoming speech.

The Forum is a key platform for discussing the development of AI technologies in Belarus.

The Forum's opening program also included an awards ceremony for the winners of the "Leaders of Artificial Intelligence in Belarus" competition, who were selected in three categories:
Company — Belarusian State University;
Project — Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics with its project "AI Consultant of the Russian Center for Technology Transfer";
Product — State Scientific Institution "Center for Systems Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" with its project "Open Semantic Technology for Designing Intelligent Systems (OSTIS)".

Forum participants — representatives of academia, business, and international organizations specializing in AI—will discuss issues such as:
AI and technological sovereignty in the context of digital transformation,
AI in medicine,
training AI specialists,
information security in the application of AI, and more.

An exhibition of startups and research projects in AI and robotics will also be a central element of the Forum.

The Forum will also feature:
The 30th meeting of the Expert Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications,
A roundtable discussion on "Regulation in the Field of Artificial Intelligence."
