1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "AI in Creative Industries"

     Today, May 28, 2025, the First International Scientific and Practical Conference "AI in Creative Industries” is being held in a hybrid format at the Artificial Intelligence Center of MGIMO.

     The aim of the Conference is to create a platform for experience exchange between experts from technology, business, law and creative industries to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the introduction of AI technologies.

     The participants of the discussions were representatives of international organizations, in particular UNCTAD, UNESCO, ITU and RCC, government agencies, technology business, creative industries, as well as leading experts and researchers in the field of AI.

     Anna Abramova, Head of the AI Center of MGIMO, Scientific Director of the Master's Program “Artificial Intelligence” (MGIMO/MFTI/ADV) acted as a moderator of the Conference, which included two sessions:
- “State and international organizations: supporting the development of creative industries using AI”,
- New Challenges and Opportunities for Business Development in Creative Industries Based on AI Application”.

    The discussions will focus on:
- practical application of AI technologies in key areas of the creative economy,
- existing technological solutions and promising projects, as well as the experience of their commercialization at the national level and abroad,
- regulation of generative technologies,
- legal aspects of intellectual property protection,
- necessary conditions for the development of creative industries based on the use of AI,
- mechanisms of state support,
- approaches to professional education for the realization of projects at the intersection of technology, creativity and business.

     Maria Bolshakova, Deputy RCC Director General, in the framework of the discussions paid special attention to regional approaches to the regulation of AI technologies, in particular, to the work on model rulemaking within the framework of the Expert Council of the IPA CIS - RCC, touching upon the work of the RCC members on the preparation of international documents on AI, in particular, the thematic Resolutions of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2022 and the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2024.
