The 13th meeting of the Working Group on the work with the Universal Postal Union (WG UPU) was held today, on April 29th, via videoconference.

     The meeting was attended by RCC Communications Administrations and RCC Postal Operators.

     The meeting was opened by RCC Director General Alexey Borodin.

     Olga Zhitnikova, head of international relations at the Business Support Department of Russian Post, who chaired the 13th meeting of the WG UPU, addressed the participants of the Working Group with a welcoming speech.

     Key topics on the agenda's meeting: 

- the progress of preparations by RCC Communications Administrations and RCC Postal Operators for the 28th UPU Congress;
- consideration of candidates for election to the UPU Council of Administration and the UPU Postal Operations Council for 2025-2029;
- discussing the RCC's General Proposals to the 28th UPU Congress.

     The meeting was held in an atmosphere of constructive dialog, a number of decisions of the meeting will be submitted for further consideration by the 58/47th joint-meeting of the RCC Commission on Postal Communications, the RCC Postal Operators Board and their Working Groups, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on May 13-15 on the fields of the Forum of Postal Leaders for Europe and CIS States.
