Today, on the Day of Vernal Equinox, Navruz, one of the oldest holidays symbolizing the arrival of spring, the renewal of nature and the beginning of a new year according to the solar calendar, is celebrated in a number of RCC States.
Navruz is widely celebrated in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East and other regions of the world. In 2009, UNESCO inscribed Navruz on the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, emphasizing its significance as a celebration of peace, unity and renewal. In 2010, the UN General Assembly declared March 21 as the International Day of Navruz.
The history of Navryz dates back more than 3000 years. The roots of the holiday go back to ancient times. It is associated with the arrival of spring, the renewal of nature and the beginning of a new year according to the solar calendar. Over the millennia, the holiday has spread among many peoples and cultures, acquiring its own unique traditions and customs, but always retaining the main meaning - the renewal of nature and the unity of people. Today, the traditions of the holiday remain unchanged: people gather with their families, cook national dishes, visit friends, exchange gifts and good wishes.
Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications sincerely congratulates all colleagues and partners celebrating Navruz! May this bright holiday bring you happiness, health, prosperity and inspiration for new achievements!
