The 57/46th joint-meeting of the RCC Postal Commission and the RCC Postal Operators Board was held on 9 October 2024 in Moscow, Russian Federation, at the headquarters of the RCC Executive Committee. 

Alexey Borodin, RCC Director General, opened the joint meeting. Alisher Faizullaev, Chairman of the RCC Postal Operators Board, addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Communications Administrations of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Russian Federation, Kyrgyz Republic, full members of the RCC Postal Operators Board - ‘Azerpocht’, ‘Haypost’, ‘Belpochta’, 'Russian Post’, ‘Pochtai Tochik’, ‘Turkmenpochta’, ‘Uzbekiston Pochtasy’, as well as representatives of the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union.

Within the framework of the joint meeting, a solemn ceremony of stamp issuance dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union was held.

Honoured participants of the ceremony were Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, Alisher Faizullaev, Director General of Uzbekiston Pochtasi, Artem Adibekov, Director General of the joint-stock company 'Marka', President of the World Association for the Development of Philately of the Universal Postal Union, Alexey Borodin, RCC Director General, Alan Kozonov, Deputy Director General of the joint-stock company Russian Post.

The honoured guests of the ceremony put a commemorative stamp on the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union stamp and exchanged hopes for the further development of the postal communications industry, whose hard work has united people around the world for a century and a half.

After the ceremonial part of the meeting, the participants began discussing topical issues on the agenda. In particular, they considered the joint development and continued signing of a memorandum of understanding between the RCC and the UPU, which will make the current interaction between the organizations more active and systematic and will further strengthen cooperation in the field of postal communications at both regional and international levels.

Participants also discussed preparations for major international events such as the autumn session of the Postal Operations Board and the UPU Council of Administration, as well as the 28th UPU Congress, which is to be held in September 2025.
